Having read several posts regarding tightening of Jubilee Bands, I had contacted Michael Young by email and got a reply within a couple of days. Michael quoted me a price to do the work on my TT Jubilee band, which I have now sent off to Hong Kong.
I hope it gets there safely and also, when the job is done, I hope it gets back to me safely.
It should take between four and six weeks to complete, but I am already getting withdrawal symptoms as I cannot wear my TT DJ.
I can't wait to see the difference when the pins are changed on the stretched band, and I hope its as good as everyone says.

Hi Jeff,
Michael Young quoted $120 USD plus postage to do the work on the jubilee band. Quite reasonable in my opinion.

I think the cost depends on what is going to be done to the watch band. If its a bit of a mess and needs new parts, then that will obviously affect the price. He may ask for photographs beforehand to estimate how much work needs to be done.

Do you have a pic of your band?
I replaced the Jubilee band on my TT DJ with a nice slightly used one, looks awesome!
But I would love to restore the original band, it is really stretched.

Looks not too bad in the pic, but is not under any stress. When fitted to the watch, it would sag badly.
I think even badly stretched ones can be refurbished. Michael would be able to tell you if you sent him a picture of it.

I don't even think it would be worth fixing this mess, it's over 40 years old and ..it's a wreck. Cant believe I waited so long to replace it.

Received an email from Michael Young this morning to say that the work on my TT Jubilee band is now complete.
Now waiting on its arrival via EMS postage.
Will hopefully be able to post pics when I have it back on my DJ.
(may be though difficult, as I presently have one arm out of use, but will give it a go)

Michael normally responds within a few days.

I'll bet it's now a lot tighter than before.

Just curious, does anyone know if he uses some type of custom made aftermarket pins in his band restoration work, as I'd be surprised if Rolex sold those parts individually.

Definitely a lot tighter now. Looks as good as new. Absolutely delighted with the work Michael has done.

WOW.... now i just need to wait for him to send me instructions on how to send my jubilee over too him. I e-mailed him on the 6th but no e-mail back yet. But i am aware that he is slow to respond to e-mails (days) i guess good thing cant be rushed...LOL

These watchmakers in HK or Singapore usually have their networks of getting Rolex parts. It's really not that hard!
