Can someone recommend an exceptionally soft and comfortable leather strap?
I know this gets asked many times in many different ways, but I have found it very difficult to find a strap that actually feels good. I have rather large wrists and always end up with a strap that is way too tight, but if I loosen it one hole I'm at the end of the strap or it just flops around on my wrist. I know there are ways to mitigate that, but I also have trouble with very "stiff" straps (for instance, I like the OEM calf but find it to be too rigid for me).
Can anyone recommend a SUPER soft leather strap that also has a decent fit for someone who has these sorts of troubles? I have some on my "to buy" list, but I really hate buying a $50+ strap only to sell it for a loss the next day because it doesn't feel right. |

I just picked up a Gonzo Buffalo strap from Greg this weekend and posted a separate thread with photos this morning in the Panerai section. It is the softest strap I have ever had on my arm. Greg will work with you to make one custom to your measurements. I promise it will not be a waste of your time to contact him.

Here's a slightly unexpected suggestion.....
There's an Panerai homage maker 'Getat Watch' who makes fairly high quality but really cheap Pam homages (sterile dials, custom stuff). His watches ship on easily the softest and most comfortable strap out there. The strap is probably worth more than the watch in my opinion. He sells loads of watch parts and the straps are available separately. I have the black handmade strap and it's incredibly thick, between 5 and 6mm but really soft. I usually wear it with my 112 to work.
