Jump hour hand problem
The watch is a V serial Exp 2. Whilst adjusting the jump hour hand today it suddenly went very loose and slack. Before this it was the same as my GMT2c and the hour hand clicked positively into each hour position and had some turning resistance (feeling almost spring loaded). Everything still functions correctly but there is now very little turning resistance in the crown and the hour hand does not click into place, just moves wherever I put it.
I adjust the hour hand frequently - could I have worn out the "jump" part of the mechanism? My older M series GMT2c has also been used a lot but appears fine. Anyone had a similar experience or knowledge of this? |

The jump hour is a jeweled module that has 2 clicks and 2 springs in it and a flat jewel holding it all in place possibly one of the springs broke they are very small v shaped springs. I myself haven't seen one break but have had them come in taken apart and not put together correctly. Have it looked at it could possibly throw things out of sync or break something inside the module. Rikki
