Please Help A Newbie
I'm hoping someone will be able to help me determine if the women's Oyster Perpetual Datejust I have is genuine without my having to remove the band or open the back. It looks, feels, and functions like a real Rolex but I have done enough research to know that there are very good replicas which would be hard for a novice (such as me) to detect. The only marking I can see is on the rear of the case just above the stem which says "18K" in a small rectangle, the bottom of which faces inward toward the watch. This is a 2 tone stainless and gold (I hope) watch. I wish I could post a picture but I am not much of a techie. I have looked at several photos online and have not seen this marking. Also, there are tiny white bumps on the face directly above the 10 "diamonds". Please forgive me if I have broken any rules by asking this question here but it is late and I am anxious to figure this out. Thanks in advance!

Doesn't smell right to me stainless watches aren't marked with carat gold only gold cases, but without pictures this post is useless. Rik
