best value pam?
Hello , well I am just getting over my 3 day sickness about LOSING my PAM88 it was my first PAM among many Rolex and can easily say that I liked it better than all of them easily.
I am ( or excuse me HAVE TO ) get another and I am unable to decide, there isnt a dealer anywhere close to me so all my research has to be done through the net. I was thinking that I really want to get my 88 again as it fit great and obviously I would be comfortable with it , however was thinking that a change cant hurt either? When looking around I saw a PAM253 which I liked as I have always wanted a 286 but havent been able to locate one. My question is this: What PAM would you get as both something to enjpy and wear and also a investment ( assuming you dont do something stupid and lose it) and are the Regatta series a good investment?? OOPS ... another question , does anybody know or can point me in the right direction for a good PAM seller online? As well any other suggestion for PAM models would be highly anticipated and accepted. Thanks again all |

Hi Bill
I'm not a fan of the chrono or Regatta models... if you are looking for something roughly comparable to your 88, perhaps try the 320 (auto)? If you want a model with reasonable resale prospects (I assume this is what you mean by investment) then the Luminor Base and Marina models are probably the best in this regard. 312, 320 and 233 are also popular models at the mo and use in-house movements. Try hitting up Oscar (Bodybump) or Greg (Mosco) - these guys will look after you Cheers

005
PAM 005 Luminor Marina Logo is my suggestion.
Historic series, 44mm steel case, manual wind, small seconds hand, cosc movement. This iconic PAM sells pre-owned for very close to the original price. A very nice Panerai for any collection. |

The 111 is also a great re-seller if you prefer the sandwich type dial. Cheers

000...Try this model. Will hold the price good. Or 111, or 112 or 005.
