Adobe updates $%^&#*&*)(*

ARGH.....I'm right in the middle of something important (other than posting on TRF) and the stupid Adobe updater INSISTS I restart. Every bleeping minute the dumb little icon explodes onto the middle of what I'm doing to tell me that I must reboot for the updates to take effect. I can't STOP it and I don't want to reboot right now; I got stuff running...
ARGH

It's a pity you can't minimise that annoying window, into the bottom of your tray and restart later - but, then again, that would be common sense, wouldn't it!

Let's hear it for the IT guys at Adobe!!

Try spending $1700 on CS4 premiere 2 months ago and then CS5 comes out this week.

Adobe updates on the Mac as well.

The best thing to do is disable auto update.

Totally disagree. PDF files are the vector of favor at the moment for malcode delivery. This particular update addressed a vulnerability that has been widely exploited.

Locking your door may not be convenient either, but you've gotten used to it, right?

I guess I should have finish my thought...disable auto-updates and do manual updates on your own time when it's convenient.

But it's magical when it happens on the Mac.

Have you considered closing the programs you currently have running, and rebooting? Just a thought.

That's your fault though - CS5 has been "known" for at least that long.
