FRAUD ALERT!..if your thinking of buying a red sub on ebay..

then be sure to read this..
this watch that is listed was sent to me a couple of months ago by this seller
and as soon as it arrived I could see right off that the papers where double stamped(with two different serial numbers!) and someone attemped to cover the original serial up with dirt and liquid paper..well of course I sent it back,to me this paper was an obvious attemp to defraud..now at the time I couldnt say that the seller did this, maybe he didnt notice and sold it..at least I was hoping that was the case.
the seller was very apologetic and said he couldnt understand how he didnt notice this and would "take care of it"
now a couple of months later he list's it again and now the papers are even dirtier than the first time and even more torn up..I geuss they realized that they didnt do a good enough job the first time around!
to me this is blatant proof that the seller knew about the fake papers the first time and wasnt banking on an experienced buyer looking at the papers..
so beware of this watch/auction..assume that its just the watch without papers because i have seen the papers myself and they are forgeries!
not to mention the seller is pretty scummy for attempting to defraud fellow collectors!
fyi..the first time they sold this watch on their other ebay I.D. which is 30watches..just so you know who you are dealing with..

now the seller is claiming that he and 30watches are not the same place..
even though they are in the exact same city and I have seen them both sell the exact same watches..its a rather large story to buy..
but you can make up your own minds

The paper certainly looks to have been defaced in the most crucial area.
Steve, does the watch look to "new" to be a red sub?

thks to all for the great effort

maybe we (or at least for me) should keep a list of 'stay-away' eBay sellers

Was the watch a fake or put together red so to speak? Or were just the papers the problem......just curious.......either way it's a brutal thing to do.

Thank you L.C. We would have to applaud that call made by Ebay . It shows that they appreciate what we do here on watch out .

good work guys!
we undoubtly just saved someone litterally thousands of dollars..
the actual watch was fine..I completely checked it out and even fixed some of the broken parts that where on it before I had a chance to look at the papers..then of course once I saw the papers I knew I had to send it back..I wasnt going to take the new parts off of it..lol..so I just took a loss and returned it as is.
the problem is that a red sub with papers is a rarity these days and you pay a hefty premium for one..I would say there is a 2 to 4k difference on a red sub with and without papers..even more so for a meters first red.
anyways,I digress..
good work everyone!

Actually the dial could cost just as much ($2-3K++)

My question is how would someone's paperwork get that dirty legitimately? Would they keep it in their work boots? Geesh!
