Vintage GMT gets full viewing in new Tom Selleck movie

Watched Without Remorse last night. This is the latest Tom Selleck Jessie Stone Movie based on Robert Parker's series.

In the earlier movies you can just barely get a glimpse of Selleck's vintage GMT. And you are often left to guess, is that is vintage GMT from Magnum PI? Or is it not?

However, in Without Remorse, Selleck finally gives us a full blown straight on view of his vintage GMT.

About half way through the move, Selleck pauses, pulls back his sleeve and looks down at the watch. The camera pauses to give you a complete and accurate view of the time. The bezel is really nice.

The camera work is excellent and the GMT looks beefy and up to the task at hand.

Even if you are not a fan of this movie series, which I am, the shot of the GMT makes it more than worth it to watch the movie.

I guess he kept the old Magnum PI movie prop!

Seriously, Magnum's watch is what got me started in Rolexes. I just had to know what the blue/red watch was.

Oh, and the red car was kinda nice too.

If you can believe it, the picture on his latest movie is even better. Worth seeing.

I'm a big fan of the Jesse Stone movies. I like to skip them when aired on network TV and wait for them on DVD ... no commercials!

My first experience with Rolex was the Magnum PI episode when he is treading water at sea. That's when I first knew I wanted a Rolex. I'm looking forward to seeing the latest JM movie.

actually Tom Selleck is a die hard Rolex fan and did indeed wear his personal Rolex gmt in the Magnum P.I. series..in fact,Selleck bought gmt's for many of his close personal friends and most crew members of the show also recieved a Rolex from Tom when the tv show finally went off the air..

Was that the episode where there were flashbacks of him as a kid. I remember an episode similar to that where he got the watch as a kid and it was too big for him. Aaahhh memories.

Good question, and I would love to know the answer. 1675 or 16750?
