Vintage Explorer
I know the history of the Explorer. However, can someone explain to me why mechanically they should command such greater prices then same age Datejusts and other oyster models? Thanks.

Vintage Rolex sports models always bring more money. Plus the Explorer I has a great history/legacy with the whole Everest thing. The other models you mentioned don't have that. And the Explorer dial in tritium is super cool looking. However, I think the vintage Datejusts are also beautiful and way under-valued. I have a 16014 with a silver dial that is one of my favorite watches.

Supply and demand plays into this also. There were a lot less Explorers made than Datejusts.
