London trip was fantastic!..gratuitous watch and architecture pics enclosed!

Litterally just landed back in Florida a couple of hours ago!
Man,let me tell you..The trip was beyond fantastic and went much better than I could have ever hoped for..many thanks to the dozens of people who meet
us each day and showed us some of the rich history that London has to offer..but even after a week of constant exploring we didnt even scratch the surface of what Londinium had to offer us!
Enclosed are just a sampling of the many watches that I either brought along or saw (I returned watch-less!)..
some of the breathtaking architecture (which there was endless amounts of!)..many great watch shops, which unfortunately we werent allowed to photograph..
A special Thanks to Bonhams (Paul M. especially)for allowing myself and a couple of my associates to come in and dirty up the place, and allowing us to view some of thier fine vintage pieces..thanks for the kind hospitality..Thanks to the many people who showed us the historical sites and forced us to drink beer after beer..you bastids!..lol..We felt very much at home there and will most definitely be returning in a few months..
To me,I am just blown away at the brittish hospitality..People litterally took the trains all the way in to London just to show us around..and there where many others that we just didnt have the time to meet, and I apologize..there will definitely be a next time!
anyway's,enough of the foreward..here are some of the pictures I took of grand and historic London!
after I settle in and open some of the parcels that arrived while I was gone I will try and post more pictures..
enjoy everyone!
steve

here is a 18th century pub(The Bell) that was freqented by all of "Jack the Ripper"s victims (yes,we took the ripper tour!)

Here is one of the last remaining parts of the original Roman wall that protected "Londinium"..it was quite impressive that their military not only fought but also where very skilled masons and this in no doubt attributed to their successful campaigns..in fact, many places surrended to the Roman legions without a fight because they knew the benefits that belonging to the empire would bring!

There is a art exhibit going on right now at the Tate gallery of billions of ceramic sunflower seed's..you know I had to jump in it..lol
the pictures of me actually in the seeds I will post later..but here is what the room looks like.

Next is a few shots of the city..parliment,st. stevensons tower(i think thats the name..aka "Big Ben"<the name of the bell>),the palace, the Brittish Museum,etc..etc..

and of course..MORE WATCHES!!

Awesome! It looks like you had some pretty good weather. Looking at the photos, the city looks so much the same yet different from when I was there last, if that makes sense. London is a beautiful city and the people are genuinely nice. I'm actually in the midst of planning my year-end trip when I will be visiting family at Oxford and definitely going to London. I can't wait. Welcome home. I'm glad your trip was safe and fun.

ps. Where are you in Tampa? I lived in Temple Terrace for 6 years ('78-'84). I miss it this time of year as winter begins to show it's face up here (although it's a beautiful day today!).

Excellent photos Steve, it looks like you had a great time.
Prices of vintage Rolex watches in London are quite high but the range is extensive.

Glad you had a great time Steve and it warms my heart to read someone waxing lyrical about my home town.
If you're back in January i'd gladly take a trip home and buy you a pint.
