Regret...
Selling my Omega Seamaster Pro Quartz. The blue bezel and blue wave dial are just such a great combo, along with the whole design of the watch. Sold mine for less than $1,000 and thinking about going to an AD and buying a new one for retail, $2,050. That makes a lot of sense.
I am posting this thread in case any of you Omega owners are considering selling your Seamasters. If you have the slightest doubt, do not sell it! HOLD ON TO IT! Take it from someone who made the wrong decision. Happy holidays |

It's easy to think you're over a watch .... I guess we have to lose them sometimes to realize just how much they meant. Good luck on finding another...I'm sure you will

Bought my first SMP in 2006. Flipped it in 2007 and missed it so much, I bought another in 2008: Bought this rare Seamaster 120m in 2004 and sold it in 2006. Bought it back last August. Note that the dial is misprinted with "Speedmaster". I call it my "Speamaster": A friend gave me a cal 861 movement back in 2006 and I put together this custom Speedy Pro: I sold it in 2008 and bought it back in last July. And then there's my custom EXP II bought in 2008 and flipped last May for a TT GMT IIc. Three months later, The EXP II was back in the fold and the GMT was gone: We all make mistakes and I am glad that I was able to correct four of mine. Hopefully you will find a replacement. Fr. But alas I'm off bowling & then TGI Fridays with Kerry & the kids.... it's Billy (my youngest) 's birthday on Monday. I just asked Jack (my eldest) if he wanted to wear my (his?) cSub when we go out & he tried it on but it needs about 5 links taken out so guess I get to hold onto it for a little while longer eh?!? Sorry for the hijack OP....... Best o'luck replacing your Seamaster & I my 'long-gone-yet-still-missed (Quartz) Omegas' say Hi too!

Yep, I'm sure you miss that watch. I hope one will turn up here on the forum or somewhere else.
Fr. John, those that you sold and bought back are all winners! What a great collection! Cheers, Bill P. |

Few times over the years I considered letting my SMP go especially last year when I could have went for one of my grails & needed the cash
However, common sense prevailed - I'd rather pass & still have my SMP - even if just to wear a few times a year. I couldn't replace it - even a newer\ replacement one wouldn't be "thee one" |

I know the feeling. I just bought another one for the hell of it since I doubt Omega will have quartz model SM's in the future. Will post pics. At under $1000, they're a great buy but that's the average for a quartz SMP. I have 2 mech SMP's if you ever want one....

Over the years I've thought about getting rid of my SMP. I'm glad I saved it.

I agree with the OP.
I've got a blue bond SMP Co-axial and I've been thinking about selling it and some other watches in my collection to get a Rolex Sub. I'm pretty sure I'd miss my Omega because it was my first big watch purchase. It's a fantastic watch and IMO one of the most overlooked Omegas due to the "Bond" connotation. It's built solidly like a tank, looks great and it has subtle flash with the waves in the dial. I just now put it on my wrist because of this thread |

I sold my Bond SMP, I miss it, but have not got to the regret stage, I swapped it for a Planet Ocean (still in the post) and I have got a Seamaster 120 on route as well. Sometimes we need to try something different, or how will we discover new things to like? Change is good and if its a change for the worse, we can always buy it back!
