Hi.
Are you sure you should be repairing a Cellini without the required skill? I would suggest you practice on much cheaper watches first - perhaps you have? Perhaps you are being trained by a master?
In the UK Rolex agents and Rolex accredited watchmakers are not permitted to sell material except as part of a full service. Rolex have this policy to make sure their watches are serviced/repaired by properly trained watchmakers. There are non Rolex spares but, as far as I know, not available to non professional customers.
Not much help I'm afraid but at least you know the situation here in the UK.
Tylden.

Hi...I just find watches intresting and wish to learn at a snails pace. I now have some experience to put some watches together. I do not sell them. This gold faced watch is my own personal watch. I have another 1600 movement in which the train plate and wheels need putting together. There is a stem on this movement, but for some reason it does not work in the other. I am a person who is self taught in various fields. I now play the piano, not great, but good enough for people to clap. I was raised listening to Beatle music and thought I would learn the piano with the music I grew up with..it helps a great deal. I was into electronic engineering in the valve era.
Back to Rolex..I am wondering if there is a chart where alternative stems can be got, or if there are some rolex stems in a group 2010-2050 ete.....
I was offered one at $35 hong kong dollars(£2.50) but the guy has now disappeared..........Oh well, I shall keep trying..aqnd thank you for your message..David

Hi there,
You may just be in luck if you have a look on Ebay right now, there are a couple of cal 1600 unnamed new spares and they are dirt cheap!
Item number 120664101080 looks like a winding stem and the same seller has other parts that may be of interest.
I too, like messing about with watches and changing the stem/crown/tube are simple jobs. I don't believe in treating watches like tin gods.
Best of luck!
Dave
