One to End 2010 (Sub-C Content)

After much debate and research I finally "pulled the trigger" today on a piece I've wanted since it was shown earlier in the year at Basel.

I waited patiently for the hype to slowdown and for discounts and inventory to appear.

Here is my 116610 Submariner Date

My initial impressions are that it feels largely the same as the preceding 16610 in terms of comfort and heft. It may be a tad heavier on the wrist but the awesome glidelock adjustable bracelet allows for a precise fit. The size feels largely the same as well - in other words - I don't notice the "maxi-case" immediately. This is what I had hoped for.

Kudos on this piece Rolex

The SubC would be my choice of all the current model SS date models.

The clasp is not only a qualitative improvement in keeping with the brand but also a practical advantage to instantly relax or tighten the bracelet.

Great pic!

I have seen a few Sub Cs in person now and they really are not much bigger than the outgoing model at all.

Congrats!

Great watch, you will enjoy. SubC is about 20 grams heavier than 16610. Weight feels very similar to my SD. Took me a week or so to get link configuration just right on SubC allowing true functionality of glide lock.
