16613 Question
I just bought a 16613 and love it.
I am really amazed at how much heavier it is compared to the 16610. Has anyone ever figured out how much gold on the 16613? Feels like a good bit. Thanks, Seth

Don't want to put a downer on your purchase but there's not much gold in the 16613...the links are hollow and the clasp is a rolled gold covering. The most gold is probably in the bezel. There is a lot more in the new ceramic TT models which is why they are much heavier (and more expensive).
However the 16613 is a gorgeous looking watch and it's a classic. Congrats. |

I knew it had to be around an oz.
I am not new to Rolex or fine Swiss watches in general and I am accutely aware of the differences between the 16613 and the 116613 however when compared to a 16610 as I said there is MUCH more weight. To me the 116613 functional changes were improvements but the larger lugs and indices as well as the flat blue kept me from looking at that piece. To me the best improvement Rolex made within the redesigned watches were the Date-Just model. The 116233 jubliee band is finally a sturdy one and I will get that next.
