ALL Gold Watches

Hi,
I have been a long time owner and lover of Rolex watches since I was 20 years old. Now 46 I am fortunate to "think" I can afford some of these things. My best friend is a preowned dealer...good friend to have.

He has had a all gold Blue face Sub (last model) in good shape and showed it to me. I have bought many watches from him and all he ever says is if you get an all gold you will never want to take it off. So I tried it on and boy did it yell at me.

I have currently a Plat YM, a TT white face zenith Daytona, a a pepsi GMT II, and a breitling Mark VI with a croc which I love.

I was going to move the TT Daytona to fund the sub,,,I get back what I paid for the daytona $5500 and about $2600 cash. This is a great chance to own a all gold sub for really no money and wear it for free in the event I don't like it.
Need your help....which one do I trade? I know most will say Breitling but that is such an incredible watch that it need to stay.

It seemed like the TT Daytona made the most sense while I will have the PLAT YM and a gold sub. along with the great tool pepsi.

The daytona TT still looks good to me. Its an illness!

Yeah I think I would sell the TT Daytona out of those watches if you absolutely had to. I am a fan of the Plat. YM so I would want to keep that in the collection. It is certainly a very tough decision. Though the YM may make sense since you already have a SS Watch. If you sold the YM you would then have a TT, SS and YG in your collection. Look as I type I can't even make up my mind. Not an easy decision.

Agreed with your approach.....Especially since I'm not a huge fan of TT watches, generally, and TT Daytonas, specifically (I think the watch is busy enough without the added TT look).

Go all gold. Your collection will be varied and well-balanced.
