Ben
It is a small community and people like to complain more than they give praise when it comes to movement problems.

Basically, there are nightmare stories and people who are like WTH, I've never had a problem.

If you are worried at all, there are plenty of nice 6497's out there. I love 'em.

Hi Ben,

As stated we always here the bad before the good. I have two Pams with in-house movements.

A 359 that I have not had that first minute's trouble with and that keeps amazing time. I worn the watch a LOT and except for some swirls on the polished case (I swear if you look at it it'll pick up another) and,..

A 321 that I got about 6 weeks ago. It ran about 42 seconds fast and back to the AD it went for regulation. Because it was an in-house movement and my watchmaker has not as yet been to Panerai"s school on that movement it went to the Pam service center......and there it's been all this time.

I'm more apt to scream at their service center than any problem with the movement.

I have the 8 day GMT (only a few months old) and I have not had any direct problems with the movement. I can comment however that the crown stem movement sometimes (enough to worry me) to get "stuck" when trying to push it back in after adjustment. I have heard of only one other case like this on the forum - so it may be an isolated case and not an actual design problem.

My 10 day movement keeps close to perfect time. Maybe gains a second a week.

I have been lucky my Rolex GMT 2C also keeps great time.

I have also heard of few comments with the 312s when they first came out, but lately I have not come across any negative feedback on them, looks like Panerai has sorted out the problem already, thus the popularity of the 312s now with the ristis. Anybody heard otherwise?

My PAM 312 movement is good (I'm the type who seldom complain in life though it loses 6 secs a day) but honestly, I think movement in my rolex sub is so much better, so much more accurate (+1 sec/day). But I love 312 more ...

Same here, have a 312 M-Series and no problems at all. Over 2 months without having to adjust the time.
