Brown Leather Nato Strap on Submariner? Got Pics?

so i'm in the Nato craze right now, just ordered couple of non leather gray and black & gray stripe Nato straps. I was wondering if anyone had pictures of the Sub on a brown leather Nato strap? What do you guys think of that combo?

I think a vintage ND sub would look great on an aged leather nato.

Not so sure about a modern piece though, so im also keen to see some pics.

anyone got this combo?

i'm thinking leather might be too thick to feed through the gap b/w springbar and case end? - looks like its only 1 to 1.25mm max on my 14060M, and leather straps are around 1.5-2mm?

Can't help you with a Sub, but I do have a shot of my YachtMaster on Cherry Brown Leather Nato from the winter.

looks great. like how the the polished hardware plays off the similar elements on your YM

do you know how much of a gap is b/w the springbar and case on your ym. and where did you get your nato from?

Thanks! Also in person the cherry brown kind of brings out the red second hand on the YM believe it or not.

Not sure how much gap is between, but that leather Nato is kind of thick and substantial so unfortunately if I try to slide it through, it scrapes the leather - so I basically have to remove the spring bars to install it - which I'm not too happy with.

I got it off of ebay. I can dig up the username if you'd like. It's actually a nice soft calf skin leather I believe. I just wish I could get it on and off easier.

Classy combination - it has a vintage modernity about it

Heck, so you had to take the spring bars off then place the leather strap against case then squeeze on the spring bars? - tricky job. and the problem is trying to adjust/center the strap middle section would be hard being such a tight squeeze. One of the best things about the nylon natos is being able to switch straps without having to remove the spring bars.

But the leather natos have a different look, a little more sophisticated if paired up right.

Sure let me know if you get a chance to find the seller. Thanks!

Thanks again. PM sent. Yeah it is a little tricky, however it's not too tight to adjust a little, I just don't want to run it the whole way down the strap in case it makes a huge scratch. But I'm sure as it get's dirtier and more worn in (and possibly put some kind of leather protector on it?) it might not scratch as much?

Thanks, got it. I actually emailed the same seller about a black version before posting in this thread. Small world LOL

Yeah, I reckon if you apply leather conditioner or bees wax on it will help. Also over time the leather strap will stretch a little and thin out so will be easier over time and obtain that really cool worn in vintage look

I've never seen a Yacht on a leather strap. That looks really nice.

Thanks threemonkeys! That's part of the beauty of the Yacht, it's platinum color goes with virtually anything, from brown or black leather, to almost any color nato/zulu, as well as the Oyster OR Jubilee bracelet!
