Educate me on Yachtmasters

First post here, been a long time browser. I currently have three watches a BVLGARI Diagono two-tone, a stainless Breitling, and a NOA 1675 on a rubber strap. So, I think my next watch needs to be a Rolex. I am torn between a couple models, but I think I have narrowed my search down to either a Plat/SS Yachtmaster or a Solid Gold Yachtmaster. Price isn't a main concern at this point, so much as finding out what the differences are from model to model. I have read in the vintage section about all the different types of SUBS, but do Yachtmaster have any changes since their introduction? When was the rolex wording added as a band inside the bezel? Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated.

Welcome to TRF!

There has been no change to the YM since it's inception other than the rehalt ring (RolexRolexRolex around the inside of the dial(Z serial 2007 approximation)) and some minor font changes on the dial!
Platinum or solid gold have no differences other than material and either would be a great choice...

Enjoy the boards,
Rob.

Thank you both! Do all yachtmasters SS, 2-tone, and gold have solid center links? I know they all have solid end links.

All models of the YM currently still have the hollow link bracelet.
