R series submariner

I purchased my first sub new in 88 or 89 and sold it several years later. I have the original box and warranty card with the serial number. Is there any way of tracking the service or a broad area of location of where it might have ended up via the serial number by way of service. I'm feeling nostalgic!

I suspect not. Rolex will not release any service records or contact info. Do you know who you sold it to? I try to save all the emails of watches I've sold...in case I ever want to buy them back.

Try tracking down who you sold it to & go from there....or you could try posting on several of the forums! Good Luck

I wish I could do the same with my father's! My dad bought his in 1988, so I'm pretty sure it would be a 168000 Submariner. Good luck trying to find it!

Thanks guys! Is there any downside in posting the serial # on forums? I've noticed most people block out the serial number when posting pics.

Well if you are looking for your watch no harm posting the serial I guess.
