Hmmmm surprised that there's no one from Japan.... Given how much Japanese ppl love watches and Rolex, in particular!

shinjuku is a great spot, although tokyo is considered to be among the safest cities, be a tad cautious with the people there at night. otherwise, take a walk around kabukicho (the so-called red light district) at night, it's quite touristy and interesting to walk around.

Shimke,
I am in the US. However, I was visiting some family and doing some sight seeing in Japan in 2010 when I met up with "Otto" I thought Jack Road was ok price wise. The used pieces were in such wonderful shape. Box and papers on everything I was looking at. I wish I had purchased the White SS Daytona I tried on. They have gone up in price since then. Kame Kiche is on the same floor as Jack Road. Comparable prices if I recall. PM Otto. He can give you the latest on these places. |

Houseki hiroba in Shibuya is the cheapest I have found. Lowest prices I have seen in Japan and nice friendly and knowledgeable staff. They also offer a 3 year warranty.

Gents, I went to jackroad, rasin (in Ginza) and shibuya's houseki over the weekend as I'm thinking of trading in my sub date (2001) for the new gmt 2c. All the gmt2c's were priced at ¥540,000 and above. The guy at proud-watch in roppongi is selling it to me for ¥510,000. Not bad at all I think. Worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.
Cheers, KJ |

Nice job Shimke! I would have made that trade to the GMT II C also in a heartbeat! My favorite SS Rolex by far.

Thanks guys!
Seen many shops around already, but just wondered if there were any decent recommendations. I've done a search, and will check out the ones Gaijin's mentioned. またね! |
