Vintage rolex dealers in London

Does anyone have any positive or negative things to say about david dugan or The vintage watch company? Saw some interesting vintage gmts today that were quite tempting... :)

Regards,
Chris

Correct just looked at what was displayed. I assume their prices are unreasonable? Any dealers that you recommend in London?

Chris

Very reputable but with seriously high overheads in Burlington Arcade.... don't expect any bargains.

The sort of place tourists and the "I want one now" brigade go to get their vintage or pre-owned watches. Top dollar but also a good reputation...... But a great place to go to try on watches before you search the net and TRF/VRF to buy them

I've always found Austin Kaye in The Strand quite reasonable

DiamondJack,
Thanks for the info. I'll likely go back later in the week to at least try a few on :) I come to the UK at least once per year to visit my wife's family( she is English ) but have never taken the opportunity to look at any watches while I'm here. I was surprised with the selection of vintage pieces that I saw today on the arcade and was wondering about the reputation of the two dealers that I mentioned.

Regards,
Chris

If heading to Burlington Arcade bring a drool towel and heart medicine.

I bought a 5512 and a 1675, both early 60s pcg models and in top condition from Vintage Watch Company recently. VWC deals in quality vintage Rolexes which are not cheap but then the best never is.
