Next Watch : Which to choose?
Feeling the "itch" again but do not know which to choose. Daytona 116520 or PAM233? Any suggestions?

Well seeing this is the Rolex forum most would say Rolex if you posted this in the Panerai forum most would say Panerai. So you have it in a nut shell but the choice of watch must come from you alone its that simple, you buy wear what you want too its your opinion that matters.

x2.....and, those are two very different watches and both have very avid followings among their respective communities. here's an idea: flip your 320 and get both! otherwise, if your only two watches are the SubC LV and 320, i'd say, go daytona, only because the 233 is closer to a 320 than a daytona is to the hulk. variety counts for something....if i could only choose two of these four watches, i'd go 233 and hulk. |

233 and 8-day reserve... a more useful complication than chronographs.

I have the Pam90(regular power reserve) and I love it. I respect the hell out of the 8-day though. If I were to do that watch over again I would probably try and go for the 233.
Just picked up the Daytona(SS White) last night. Both wear completely differently. Depends on how youre going to wear the watch. The Pam will be hard to wear under dress shirts, as thats how Ive been wearing mine. I have had custom leather straps made for mine which are for more casual wear. I doubt I would wear the Daytona without a long sleeve shirt on for fear of the bracelet getting scratched so easy. You can go wrong with either and both are very recognizable to an enthusiast. GL and post up a pic when you decide! |

both are beautiful and iconic on their respective brands. Both wear differently. I had the same dilemma before. But I chose the ss daytona white dial because I already have the 312. Both are winners IMHO.

If it fits, I'd go with the PAM. I don't have much use for a stopwatch, but the 8 day reserve & date would come in handy.

Daytona (black dial).
If I'm not mistaken no other watch keeps it's value like a 116520. |
