The Twenty4 is one of the most beautiful women's watches I've ever seen. My mother has one and if my wife didn't like to wear mens watches, I'd buy one for her.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a quartz watch, especially for women. Most don't like to fuss around with setting it after it's been sitting in her jewelry box for days.

Quartz is great for women. My wife already ruined a mechanical movement during everyday "desk diving", so she now doesn't want to get more watches with mechanical movements.

As for the Twenty-4, it is a stunning watch, very elegant, but that's one of its drawbacks too. If you like to match your watch with your outfit, then the Twenty-4 may be a limiting factor, since it's very elegant. It's the exact opposite of something like a Rolex Air King. As long as your wife/gf is okay with that (e.g. because she has other watches in her collection already), go for it.
