New to me Root Beer with nipples

Hello all just got my 16753 Root Beer and can't stop looking at my wrist. Something about nipple dials just looks so sweet.

Does anyone have some examples of a Root Beer on a nato bracelet as I would like to get one to wear on occasion. Thanks!

There is a smoking Rootbeer on strap thread ...

on the main forum right now. Title is "GMT Rootbeer on a strap for a change" and the poster is 'Submarino'. He has a niece beige colored strap on his and it looks amazing. Really gives a different element to the TT IMO. Check it out.

Regards,

Zac

Awesome looking watch!! Love the two tone bezel, I think this is the first that I have seen.

Does Root Beer refer to the color of this watch, or something else? Also what does "nipples" refer to?

Thanks guys!

peace

Congrats Justin!
Rootbeer, nipple dial is one of my favourite combos. I got a very similar watch which I enjoy so much!
I wish you enjoy your new GMT in good health and as much as I do pal!
Best cordial regards, Abel.

Thanks Zac I did not see that. I just found an interesting nato that I will post on that thread as well to see what the board thinks.

Congrats!!! Here's mine with a NATO Khaki strap. It matches my faded bezel nicely.

In the U.S. is called 'Root beer' because the color of the dial and bezel resembles that of a root beer soda or root beer float. Also keep in mind that the SS GMT models in their blue/red and black/red bezel variations are nicknamed as Pepsi and Coke respectively.

In Europe some collectors refer to the 'Root beer' as 'tigerauge' (german for theTiger Eye semi-precious stone) since the color of the dial is quite similar to the stone.

The 'nipples' are the raised gold markers on the dial that resemble the shape of a nipple.
