I was stupid enough...

I was in Tysons Corner, VA area for meetings, stopped by the Mall for lunch and walked into to the only AP AD in the area. I know the sales people very well and they take good care of me. I really wanted to try on the 39mm Explorer one more time before pulling the trigger on one, but there I was drifting towards the AP case instead...

I got to try on the new 44mm carbon chronograph in black, very nice piece, especially the weight in relation to the size, but then sales guy - knowing me - insisted that I try on the classic 42mm rose gold chrono. And I was stupid enough to agree... Wow! Just wow! I'm totally blown away by that watch!

I never see myself dropping $55,000 (regardless of what the discount might end up being) given how many kids I have (and yet to put through college), but if I could spare the change I would surely strongly considering awarding myself of of these pieces.

What a wonderful piece of horology!

Patrick, if you are willing to forgo the gold edging on the sub dials and numbers this model has been in production since 1999. A clean second hand model can be had for a great price. Ps nothing will justify taking money from your children's university fund.

PSV - Apologies for the hijack!

SteelerFan65 - Is this only applicable to the precious metal models or is 25-30% obtainable for SS from AD's? I recently tried on a BNIB ROO Panda - H serial, hornback, 20% off, so $20k from a grey dealer but will definately go to AD for same or better deal if feasible, thanks

Hey, Look at it this way, if you get the rubber clad Roo in SS, it will be the same piece of horology and you will save 20k. beat them at their own game i tell ya

who am I kidding? AP makes the most delicious looking rose gold. esp on the ROO. I die for that watch.. when i was in St thomas last year on vaycay, some guy game out of the crystal clear blue ocean water with a RG Roo RC on and I fell in love ever since. Not with the guy! the watch!! haha, amazing.

It's an amazing watch.

Ths one has been in my collection for a while now and not going anywhere.
They recently added the RG outline around the numerals on the dial. Looks great. Good luck......
