Speedmaster
Hey everyone, I have a Michael Schumacher Speed Master. The reference number is 95mw3519.50. It has som scratches on it. Is it possible to polish the scratches out.
Also, how much do you think the watch will worth if it is brandnew and never worn before. My friends told me that Omega's watch never hold good value. Any help will be aoppercaited. |

I'm just curious why you want to know how much its worth brand new and never worn...when your's has some scratches on it.
As far as holding good value, they hold good value based on what the average selling price is...which is not as close to MSRP as some other mfg's like Rolex. Watches are not an investment...I think some peopl like to flip watches, so they are looking to buy, wear, sell and lose as little as possible. Everyone's "thing" is different, to me good watches are to be sought after, earned, kept and worn. |

If the sections that have scratches are polished, then yeah it would be possible to do them yourself with capecod clothes depending how deep they are. If the sections are brushed, then you will probably have to rebrush the sections. I wouldn't touch it though.
Not sure how much they are bnib, but I have to say for the majority of new watches once you wear them the value drops instantly. That's why I would go pre-owned. I used to own the same Schumacher, it's probably worth somehwhere between 1.3-2k depending on condition and box/papers. |

Second, I want to know how well it holds the value because I was wondering should I get an IWC or Omega for my friend's graduation. I agreed that watches is not for investment. It is more of a passion to enjoy looking or wearing it. |
