I have a couple of really small scratches on the domed crystal on my 233, is it worth even trying diamond paste, or should I see if my watch maker can order a new crystal from Panerai? He is an AD, but have heard that Panerai is very tight with selling parts. Can live with it, but I think most of you know the mental anguish a ding, scratch or scuff causes a WIS.

Diamond paste is worth a shot. Takes patience. What have you got to loose if you are planing on buying a new xtal any way? Nothing but time.
