texex91 (Paul) could use our help

Hey everybody!!

texex91 (Paul) just mentioned he was considering getting a new Patek.

Now trying to be helpful, I mentioned the following:

From talking with you I think the 5890 would be a nice watch for you. It has a bit more heft, and the case is thicker than the 5711/1A. The bullseye is pretty sweet too.

But if your feeling real froggy may I entice you with a 5960P? If I remember correctly you can get that in either a grey or blue dial.

However since I am only a rookie, I probably missed a few good ideas. Please be so kind to help Paul with his new hunt.

Please feel free to post some pictures whenever possible.

Paul could use our help, I'm pleading with you.

Cheers,

Dan

A Patek enthusiast needs our help!? We must oblige!

The 5980 is indeed a beautiful watch but I would prefer the 5960 myself, it does come with two different dials if you want to have the platinum version.

Does it have to be a chronograph?

Thanks Super Carl, things were getting a bit hairy and scary for awhile there.

Lets. let this soak in for about 10 minutes, however we may need to present the subject with more watches so he does not stray.

There have been a few like him before he showed up, and there will always be more just like him in the future.

With a forum this large there will always be a few.

Well if that's the case, I'll put the 6102P back on the list

Ask and you shall receive, I'll assume that our friend Paul wants a white gold or platinum model (if yellow and rose gold are allowed, you will never be able to make me stop).

Perhaps an annual calendar with a moonphase would be interesting...

No need for a calendar? That's alright...

Well I have to admit I like the 5396G-011, but at 38mm, too small.

And yes, of course YG or plat...nothing else would do

Nice efforts thus far, but no bites. I will take another look at PP site and report back with anything interesting.

May just end up with another AP...3 in 2 weeks is better than 2.

I do like the Platinum Patek, the idea of the diamond between me and the watch, just kills me.

However no matter the metal the dial is my main focus.

The chronograph is my favorite, but they do so many complications so well.

Hold on, did you make a mistake in WG or did you really mean YG?

As for the size, what about those?

Psst! Dan! I think we're getting somewhere with this young Padawan...

Sure Paul, you pay for the watches, Carl pays the taxes, and I'll be responsible for finding the watches.

By the way finding some of these watches may not be such an easy task.

Indeed, you'll probably have to aim at a watch in the complications collection (or a model that doesn't require an application), especially if it's going to be your first or second Patek.
