Brown Leather 4 Watch Travel Case from the Time traveler

It's not often that I purchase something that lives up to or exceeds my expectations. Well, imagine my joy when I received my watch case from Jed. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are great. The soft Italian leather is a sure sign that quality comes first. I ordered mine in a light brown color. As you can see both sides are embossed with the Time traveler logo.

Once the watch case is unzipped, easy access is afforded to the bottom half of the watch case holding the first two watches.

The watches in the top half of the case are secured by the two compartment divider. Once unsnapped, you have access to watches 3 and 4.

Included with the watch case are four inserts which do a nice job of protecting the watch case back from the bracelet as well as allowing for a nice press fit of the watch into the travel case.

Traveling with part of my collection, especially through airports, makes me a bit anxious. A few years back I was the victim of a con/theft at the airport. While I was attending to an elderly lady that had fallen on the conveyer belt, someone came up behind me during all the commotion and stole my video camera. Only later did I realize that in all likelihood the whole event was staged. I feel a lot safer knowing that these four watches in their case can fit in the cargo pocket of my shorts secured and buttoned at the top. This added peace of mind makes traveling more enjoyable. Now, if I could just buy something to keep the flight attendant from slamming into me when she comes down the aisle with the drink cart, I'll be set.

If that's the case, then sell me my 1665 back

Great review John, I saw these a while back and considered them but now will likely get one. I really like how they clip in as oppose to those loops that are sown into the back. Much better design and security. Love that 5512 ;)

Thanks David. I like that leather strap that I put it on much better than the rivet expansion bracelet it came with.

Awesome review, looks great. Jeds surely designed those with his travel experiences in mind. Jed, can you add some home cases with glass display tops too, would be great!

When I saw this on his site I thought I liked the roll better. Now I think I like this case.
Nice illustrations. What size wrist do you have? Wondering if there would be any issue with the insert for bracelets sized for small wrists.
Thanks

you can trim them, but really best is to leave clasp open and unlocked insert really protects front from back and helps hold piece in

trying to, but the company that makes for us is snowed under, they also produce boxes and packaging for many of the leading watch brands , getting the nice leather from Italy in smaller quantitiez is also a lot more of a ball ache than we realised....especially in a way that lets us keep them priced at the low end of mid range.

Great info, John. I was just looking at similar carriers. Nice quartet of watches also. Would love to see a pic of the whole family!

Thanks Dave. I am thinking about buying a better camera with a wide angle lens. I have tried this with my current model and the results were under whelming.

Thanks Jed. Good to know. I didn't even consider leaving the clasp open for some reason.

Nice writeup John. Do you have any trouble going through security with 4 watches in the case?

Thanks Allan, Michael and ADT. Larry when I go through security I keep one on my wrist and send the watch case through in my carry on. Thats the only time it is not in my pocket.

You need a wide angle lens to photograph them? How many watches do you have in your collection?!

I bought the black 8 watch case, and I have to say I'm very impressed with it. Great quality and prevents any unwanted movement of the watches whilst in transit.

Very nice indeed, I mean all of it; watches, straps, and of course, the case.

Please tell me who manufactures the strap on the watch that's third from the left.

I handled John's case at our Dallas dinner last weekend - well designed, very nice leather, and the watches inside arent too shabby

I liked the 2 watch case. The most I would probably travel with is 3.
