Thank you Bob Ridley
I purchased a GMT on TRF two months and right away called Bob Ridley and sent it off for an overhaul. I wanted to be my daily wearer. Well, it was delivered this morning and I could not be anymore pleased.
If the inside came out half as nice as the outside, I now have a keeper. I even asked for the old crown back, to keep original parts and I got that too. I decided to keep the faded bezel on and Bob wholeheartedly agreed. Bob and Barbara were great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone. I think it is time to put my GMT II up for sale. And now on to the pics: |

Looks like Bob did a great job on your watch.
He has worked on a couple of mine too, and I've been very pleased with the results.

When I was looking at vintage, I came across a 5513 I wanted to buy.
The watch was all original and never polished and after lurking on the forum, knew Bob was the person to speak to. I actually emailed Bob a picture of the watch to ask his opinion as to whether I should buy the watch or not and if I did, how far to restore it. Bob actually called me back after an initial phone call and he spoke to me for about a half an hour in the evening. I was actually concerned that I was causing him to miss his dinner. He said not to worry and kept talking to me about the watch. He was so genuinely interested in helping me out and going over the options it seemed he was more concerned in educating me about the watch than he was in actually making the service sale. Both him and Barbara are wonderful, genuine, down to earth human beings that make the hobby so much fun. I wound up buying the watch, doing nothing to it, and traded it back a month later for my grail 5512. I know I will be using their services down the road. |

Kudos
Nothing but the very best to say about Mr. Ridley and Barbara.
Serviced my Red 1680 and I could not be more pleased.
