Should I take my Pam to Disney World?

I need some advice.

I'm taking the kids to Disney World this weekend for a long weekend getaway since they have Monday and Tuesday off from school, but I'm wondering if I should take my newly acquired 312 along? If I were going on a cruise or just the beach, it would be a no brainer, but not sure if I should risk the possible abuse it might take at the parks. I'm still getting used to the size of this watch and pretty much bump it into everything at work and home, but it's not been that bad. Only problem is I've noticed how much my wrist misses the watch if I don't wear it! (sounds stupid, i know!)

Not sure how many of you take your Pams to amusement parks, but I'm worried about turnstiles, strollers and rides abusing either the movement or semi-pristine condition of the watch.

So, should I just wear my beater watches or bring the 312 along? Also, I know I could bring multiple watches, but I'm packing light and prefer to bring only one watch on this trip.

Go for it...once you get a few character scratches it will take away any reservations for future trips or vacations!!!

My 312 survived a few 14k ft mountains so I think it's safe to say Disney is a kiddie park in comparison.

my pam 233 said hello to Universal Studio in Orlando on last week, and came back home today w/o any scratches:

If you even have to ask/it enters your mind, just leave it at home and bring a G-Shock. There is no one to impress at Disney and bringing a beater will prevent you from staring at your new watch instead of spending quality time with the kids! ;-)

Exactly. If you are going to be thinking about the watch instead of enjoying the time with your family, leave it at home.

Going to have fun no matter what!

I should just get used to taking it out since we go to Disney and other parks a lot. Plus, that wrist shot of the 233 at Harry Potter / Univeral is cool. Now I want to take a few shots at WDW.

I am a firm believer that watches are made to be worn.... no matter how pristine or expensive.

My vote is wear it and enjoy it.

Do it! Take lots of pictures with the family and the watch as it will be great for the memories - that's what I did, and it made the trip that much more memorable. I wear my watches but also treat them with care, so when there was a high risk of my watch getting nicks and dents, I'd place it in a soft case and place that in a day bag with my wife, or just leave it in a zipped pocket on my cargo shorts.
Have fun!

Either take it and don't worry about it

Or don't take any watches and have a 'WIS break'

Don't leave home without it! I just came back from a long weekend in LA. Visited Universal and SixFlags Magic Mountain with my Pam 005. No problems at all. Some scratches will build your Pam's character. Btw, your Pam also deserves to meet Mickey.

You'll miss it if you leave it home.
Bring it along and if you have 2nd thoughts just leave it in the hotel safe to strap on after the park.

I like that view.
On my recent trip to Europe I took my TAg Carrera and didn't give it a second thought.
Left the Pam at home safe and sound.

I wonder if the Italian navy guys had the same thought before going out on a mission?

Anyway, if you can't wear it and forget while with the fam, leave it at home or in the hotel safe.

I brought it along....I need to stop being a wuss and deal with banging it up. Now I can enjoy the watch and vacation!

Let the wrist shots begin!
