My Custom Breitling Bentley. What Do You Think?

hey guys,

I just wanted to pop in and share some photo's with you guys and see what everyone thinks?

I had this 5.2 carat bezel made for my breitling bentley 6.75

the thing that is so cool about this bezel is I had it made to function and look like the factory bezel. This bezel still spins the inner bezel.. it fully functions and has the same notches on the out side like the original.. As most aftermarket bezels are presure fitted. this one is attached to the watch by 4 screws just like the original bezel.

The only question I had for you guys if anyone know this i hope?
This bezel was die struck not cast.. which is a better way to make bezels is by die struck so i'm told.

My question is,
I was told due to stainless steel being to hard to work with to make a bezel that functions like this one, they made it out of plad and mixed alloys like polladium silver nickel and a little stainless steel. I have never heard of anything like that before. I guess they just needed a softer metal to work with when making this bezel? will this effect the finish of my bezel, will it turn after time and need to be re dipped? I was told all I would have to do is just use a jewlers buff to bring the shine back. is this true?

thanks all.

thanks guy's..
Yeah I have never really been into diamonds that much myself, but i figured it's such a big flashy watch anyway's, why not do it right and add 5 carats of diamonds.. hahaha...

I have my TT submariner for my less flashy day's.. I call my sub my "sleeping watch" because after wearing my breitling for a day and then throw on my sub, it feels like i'm wearing nothing when i put the sub on and i sleep shower swim ect with the sub..

I hope if all goes well to pick up a panerai power reserve 44mm on a steel bracelet. Now IMO I think that watch would seperate the boy's from the men hahaha ;)

I have gone a little bit further in modifying my Datejust. I turned it into a TT then I changed the acrylic to sapphire and the fluted to diamond bezel. I really appreciate your customization

As long as you like it that's all that matters. Personally I love diamonds on certain watches and yours looks great.

Thanks for the thoughts guys.. you know the thing that I really love about this bezel, is that it's not a pressure fitted bezel like all other watches have.. it's secured by the original breitling screws and it does not hurt the integrity of the watch what so ever and any time i like i can pop it off and put the other back on if i want to be without diamonds that night.. and i think this is the only bezel of it's kind that can still spin! it cost a couple extra bucks to make it still function but i think it was well worth it..

anyone have any pics of what the movement look's like inside my watch, i'm really wanting to see what the breitling bentley movement looks like and if the movement itself is a monster like the watch or a small one in a big case. haha

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

On a serious note, it actually looks good! What ever makes you happy. Don't buy stuff to see what others think, buy stuff you think will increase your inner happiness.

the watch was so big without the diamonds, I really think it needed it to set it off... I love it... it was flashy enough without the diamonds but now it just adds that little extra bit to set it off...

That watch is one big mother-

(Shut yo mouth!)

Sorry, couldn't resist!

I'm not a huge ice fan but those stones do go well with the Brietling's overall design. Well done!

ya ya guy's... haha... I store my watch in the freezer because of all the ice...

The diamonds are top notch.. I picked them myself. I'm a GIA cert so I made sure everything was VS... The watch is well made and the bezel is made in stainless as well... white gold turns after a while so I wanted to do everything to match the same metal the watch is made of. It added a bit more weight to the watch... These pics do no justice.. It's so big it makes a jacob & co watch look like a little girls watch.. haha..

The word "modification" never goes over well on a Rolex board.

see that's the spirit!! looks great! add's a nice touch to your watch..

Now that I think about it 5 1/2 carats of diamonds maybe was a little over the top but still looks big and flashy!! Just the way breitling wanted the bentley watch to look when they made it!

What made you want to do the double row of diamonds as aposed to single row like the factory?

I'd take it off first thing in the morning. Gawdy looking to me unless you're a rich rapper and it goes with your front teeth.
