no matter what, i'm sure the GTG report will be epic, as usual when it comes to the oz folk. might it even reach the lofty "titanium" level of epic-ness?

Sounds like a good time, get lots of pics. I was ready to come to WA but then broke my heel. I'm still sitting on all those miles though and will make it in 2013. No A380 please, I prefer to arrive alive.

GTG Perth

Great to meet everyone last night. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Best wishes to all, and safe travels for those heading out.

Attached a photo of the Marathon SAR, which Chris asked me about; aka the first half of my screen name.

She's a bit worse for wear from my motorbike crash, but she's still ticking. Mil-spec, and one of my favourites.

Cheers, all. Thanks again.

Matt

Flamed again?

Did I read this correctly?

Was I flamed again for my lowly Marathon? If so, it's not the first time, probably not the last...

With an informed and experienced grin, I can tell you that the pictured watch hit the street crystal down in a 60kph bike accident and survived (better than I did), and is still water tight in the absence of service. Care to suggest a Rolex, Patek, or other Swiss watch that could take that kind of a hit and still perform as designed? I seriously doubt it, though your response is welcomed.

All in good fun.
