FedEx delivered on time. Lots of photos have been posted with lots of info. I hope to impart something different.

First, here's the commemorative box:

Then opened with plastic in place:

And the commemorative plate:

The case back:

Now some points of interest (at least to me) . . .

Mine is numbered 16## which makes me wonder if Omega started with 0001. Somehow I doubt that 1600+ have been produced.

More importantly, I put my micrometer to the FOIS and found that the diameter of the caseback and bezel are the same as the standard Speedy Pro. The sapphire "halo" makes it difficult to accurately measure the diameter of the dial but the measurements from the outside end of the 9:00 marker to the outside end of the 3:00 marker appear to be the same. That makes me think the dial of FOIS would fit the standard Speedy Pro.

And lastly, I want to thank my longtime FD for his persistence. He came through again as usual.

Well the FOIS has been out for a few months already. My buddy got his a couple months back from ACE in Europe so I assume that over a thousand have been made. Just my own observation.

Changed out the OEM strap for a Hadley Roma Oil Tan Leather for a more vintage look:

Plus I wanted to keep the OEM strap pristine. The HR costs considerably less than the OEM.

One other difference between the FOIS and the standard Speedy Pro: The FOIS crown is not as tall, 2.87mm vs. 3.5mm. Plus winding is "buttery smooth" compared to a new Speedy Pro which is usually difficult to wind out of the box.

Looks fantastic. How would you compare it to weight, feel, size, etc to your regular SpeedyPro? Are the lugs still 20mm?

I love this watch. Can you tell me if having non-matching chrono hands is problematic in real life? I really wish all the hands matched the second hand. It's the only thing I don't find to be perfect on this watch.

My other Speedy Pro is not really regular in that it is a 105.012 cal 321 with a display back but I suspect the head of the FOIS will be a tad lighter due to the smaller case. Otherwise, it wears about the same.

The lugs are 19mm like the original.

The shape of the 9:00 second hand is not as much of a problem as the fact that is is rhodium plated rather than painted. Under certain lighting conditions, it is almost invisible.

I was fortunate to find a FOIS this past December. Have used successfully with the OEM strap and both 20mm NATO and Speedy Pro alligator (pictured). All have different looks but the watch is really something else, glad to have a Speedy back on my wrist.

I would think you could probably swap out the seconds hand for a white stick hand if you really wanted to.

I know, and I've thought of it, but for some reason I'm reluctant to pull apart a new watch to fit a non-stock part. I guess I'm a bit of a purist that way.

Hi Fr. John. Beautiful new piece!! I love the shape of the hands...the hour/min/sec hands match and then the chronograph hands all match. Very cool....and the case back, simply magnificent!

Maybe I missed in an earlier post, but is the winding crown a larger diameter? You mentioned it was not as tall I believe...it looks larger in diameter, too.
