falling in love with the submariner C

Hi there,
when i first got my 114060 i thought "this is pretty". Shades of grey in the bezel under different light etc. The sweeping second hand. The simplicity. Also, the hacking second. For my first 24 hours it kept time to zero seconds error.

I loved it. (Now at 5 + per day wearing it 24/7). Kids love the lume and so do I.

Never having had a Rolex before I didn't feel the difference of the Maxi Dial. I didn't see the significance of the glidelock.

But today, as I was in the toilet at home (sorry guys, but this is for reals).

I suddenly realised, I was in love.

The Maxi dial I could suddenly see as big, the hands also seemed larger (thn what? previously it has beenan Omega Speedie and a Seiko), and I thought "Buddy, you and me, together for ever (until the LV or LV C that is).

It is a bad photo, but you need one.

Love had gone from "buying love" to "real" love. As in, I finally loved what I had rather than just the idea of it. Know what I mean?

I wouldn't post such stuff anywhere but TRF but come on, tell me about your first "real" love (first saw that object of desire when it showed up) versus when it finally sunk in as in "F***, it's beautiful".

Thank you DavidSW. Thank you TRF.

In all seriousness, Mr. Gray, it's a beautiful timepiece. I adore my 116610LN. Wear it in good health.

Glad you don't post any toilet pics!!!!

Great watch!!! I can sort of relate. I've sort of realised over the last year how much I love my Sub-C LN, I have 3 Omegas and its nice to change watch now and then however when I come back to putting on the sub I know it's "the one" out of my small collection. So much in fact I'm debating flogging one of my Omegas to part fund my Hulk

😆You've managed to rip her clothes off and she has just enough time to look back to see if she'll escape safely.

LOL

I am sure that it would blow our collective minds if we were to find out just how many revelations have occurred while in the toilet.

Continue to enjoy your Rolex! It is one of the few things in life that you will never fall out of love with!

hacking second means when you pull the crown out all the way the second hand stops so you can set it down to the second
