Purchasing vintage Rolex

Wonder if anyone can advise whether vintage-watches-collection.com is a reputable dealer? Am looking to buy a vintage watch and am a complete novice. Any advice most welcome!

I'm on the other end of the discussion - I have a 1956 GMT 6542 with pepsi bakelite bezil (with one crack on it) and a 2011 rolex bracelet that I am looking at selling. What is the best method to determine value for resell. I've had one watch collector take a look at it and will likely provide an offer in a week. I don't have a good way of determining if the offer is reasonable other then viewing the range of pricing that is on the internet for similiar condition watches. Mine has been evaluated at 70%. Is there a reference link for pricing?

To maxwm:

The best method would be the comparable method, but you should not compared to the prices asked for, but the prices sold for. The prices you see on the net for such old pieces are often dream prices beyond reality. Condition of the watch (dial cleanness, no repainting on dial, no water damage, no pitting on case, engravings between the lugs visible and not re- or overengraved, no over-polishing of case, service history of movement, no aftermarket pieces used, time accuracy, intact bezel, nice condition of insert, etc.) makes price vary a lot. So your watch could go from 3000 USD for a bad one to 8000 USD for a perfect one. Post some pics or send me some in a private message, I might be interested eventually.

Ok, it is not a 6542, but it is also way below 8 thousand. To me a perfect early 1675 for a justified price.
