Is case tube for 1803 solid gold?
I recently saw advertised on ebay a case tube for a solid gold submariner.
It was listed as 18K. gold CASE TUBE 7030-8. PART # B24-7030-8, therefore being solid gold My question is would a case tube for a 1803 also be solid gold? |

That's correct my 18079 tube is metal not gold. I tried to get a gold tube put on but rolex said no way! Your watch came with the non gold tube. Now talking with a rolex watchmaker the new ones are gold . I thought it was strange because the threads would wear out fast.
