Z serial Rolex Daytona - $10,800 obo

I have a Z serial Rolex Daytona white face for $10,800 obo. This was bought as a gift in late Nov 2007. I do not have the certificate for this watch. Comes with box and booklets. I wore it only a few times with long sleeve shirts. I am very careful with my watches, like them to stay like new. There's no scratches or dings on the watch (you might see dusk in the picture when using my SLR camera). If you're in Orlando or close by city, we certainly can meet to do the transaction (authenticate at a dealer). Thanks~ Please PM or contact me:

Again, why no papers? On such a new watch, one would assume you would have the papers.

A friend of mine bought it new for her husband, but he didn't want it. They bought it new for Caryle&Co. My fiance' purchase both watches (Daytona & Yacht) from them, and we went to Caryle&Co where it was originally purchased to verified the watches. Unfortunately, we never received the certificate. They promised to send to us when it comes in from the AD. So while waiting, I will sell this watch as no certificate just in case we never get it. ~Hien

Oh, I do have the purchase receipt for Caryle&Co for verification. Hopefully, we will get the certificates soon. For now, we will sell it as no papers. Thanks~Hien

I dont understand. I have gotten the papers on the 5 watches that I have purchased BNIB. I wouldnt leave the store without them or I would buy somwhere else. That just seems weird to me.

I always thought the papers just came wih the watch inside the box...

I have had my own 2 Rolex's, and have sold another 4 (BNIB) and all have had correct paperwork from the start...

maybe it's different in the US

They hold the papers for 30 days incase there is an exchange. It would be hard to exchange it and then have the AD sell it w/someone elses name on the papers. This is very common.

Never heard of that.

Then the AD should reorder the papers. Not make the customer wait. Thats bullshit.

Also, Once the watch is worn or sized, they normally wont even take a return.

Feel free to call Jareds or Carlyle if you like. Now if they resize it in the store or know it has been resized then return is not valid.

You get everything but the warranty paper/card. They do make you a copy of it for your records though. After 30 days you will receive it in the mail or pick it up in the store.

i've seen many ADs doing this as well when my dad's were buying rolex watches and other brand watches .

I am a little disappointed by the bad language. I posted a watch forsale, and give as much information as possible to the buyer. I explained my situation for not having the certificate. I don't really understand the attitude, either. In fact, I called Caryle&Co today, and they said the certifcate most likely arrive in January for Rolex bought in Oct. ~Hien

I believe there were post before on this subject about ADs not giving the papers the day you buy the watch. I have said before my papers were mailed out a few weeks later. Maybe thats not acceptable to some but thats the way my AD does it and I didn't have a problem with it since I knew who I was dealing with. The only problem here is I feel is the price is high for no papers. Just my opinion.

I've seen this done from an AD before also. One instance was with a whide dial fat hand Daytona.

This is SOP for Caryle & Co. it took about 4 weeks for my GMT II paperwork... and i imagine a similar amount of time for my daytona paper to arrive.

that's just the way they operate...

Hey, Wasnt calling BS on you. Was saying the AD choosing to do this is BS. They shouldnt make a customer wait just because a few people get buyers remorse. Also, if you have had it over a month, why havnt you raised hell to get it?

All my watches have been purchased at jared, they allow 30 days for return, BUT ONLY if the watch is not worn out of the store or if its been sized. So that leaves most watches to not be returned.

All of them purchased, they have typed and now written my name on the papers.

Guys, guess I'm just too easy going sometimes. Maybe I should raise hell :) But just not my style. Hopefully, the papers will come in for both watches soon. I did ask for best offer, right? But keep in mind that Daytona has its own price range :) ~Hien

I'm selling most of my watches to fund my engineering startup for early 2008. I can wait for papers, but want to sell ASAP. I'm taking offers. You make the offer and I will decide to accept it or not :) ~Hien

FYI, I've seen the watch and met Hien. He is a totally legit guy and the watch is primo. I'd buy it if I had the $$. Also, I'm still waiting for my warranty/registration card on an LV purchased 12/03/07. They advised me that the warranty cards come directly from Rolex with the buyer name. PM me with questions.

The card comes from Jareds corporate office not Rolex. The same for Carlyle & Co.

Jesse, thanks. It was a pleasure. Your TOG and LV are awesome too. Yes, the warranty comes from Carlyle&Co corporate office. That's where they print your name and address. Carlyle&Co does take longer than Mayor/Jared. ~Hien
