YMII on leather

I'm thinking of putting my soon to arrive YMII bi-metal on a navy/royal blue leather...has anyone done this already? Would love to see some pictures

Also, any advice on the lug sizes and where I can get decent straps from would be much appreciated!

I know that the lugs are 21mm, but does anyone know the dimensions at the clasp?

Thanks!

The thing is, you won't be using the original Rolex clasp so you can get any clasp you want. I highly suggest finding a WG vintage buckle but those are slim (16mm) and might look odd with such a taper from 21mm.

The usual Rolex clasp is 18mm though.

Blue Croc or Alligator might be a striking strap for that YM-II.

Ah ok, thanks for the info

I was planning on using the original Rolex clasp though - is that tough to do?

If not I guess I could get an aftermarket one/ a pin buckle

If its a design similar to the Rubber B, then maybe but I am not aware of which one would fit the rolex clasp (that is meant to have a bracelet)

Reviving an old thread - did you ever do this ?

I've put my 116680 on NATO (see below), which I think looks neat and very "under the radar", but having just put my DSSD on Rubber B what I REALLY want is an equivalent for the YMII - but they don't do one !

Would like to see some pics of YMII on leather if anyone has done it since these old posts...

Bump for the US lunchtime crew.

I notice also that there is a Rubber B for the DJII, which I think is also a 21mm lug like the YMII. The DSSD Rubber B won't fit the YMII as it is too deep, but I wonder if the DJ II would ? Not keen to spend USD 250 to find out though...
