Speedmaster 9300

I picked this up last Christmas. I don't usually keep watches for more than a year, but lately I've been slowing down my purchases and flips and trying to purchase watches that will stand the test of time. I think this Speedmaster will be a keeper for a while. It has a lot going for it. The size, while on the large side, is not horrendously big. I love the stark white hands against the slightly shiny black dial, making it really easy to read at a glance. The plexi style sapphire on the front and the back gives the watch a very interesting look. Plus, I love the dual register set up. I'm loving it.

Here are some pictures I took. Anyone else here have one?

nice pix!

too thick for me, but, if the thickness works for you, it's a great looking piece with a nice new movement.

Wrist shots. It's definitely a large watch.

Here it is on a Bradystrap.

Beautiful piece. I had planned to pick one up to EDC but at the end I was turned off by how thick the watch was and how high it sat on my wirst (all our wrists are different, of course) and the sub-dials were a bit too small for me, and spaced far apart.

Still, overall, I think it is a very nice modern update to the classic Speedmaster so congrats on getting/enjoying yours!

Love it. For the size its stated, doesn't feel huge on the wrist at all.

Beautiful pictures - and could you please tell me more about the strap in the last picture? Is it OEM? Link? Thanks

I love that second photo you posted. It really shows off that three dimensional glossy dial.

The strap is just a Bradystrap. You can get them here: http://www.bradystraps.com/

I got the 22mm lug width strap since they don't make the 21mm. I had to shrink the strap a bit. Pressing each end down on a scorching hot piece of metal (stove top or soldering iron) will work. I used the OEM spring bars.

i would have bought this one because its panerai size and if you go pam you can definitely handle this speedmaster.

the problem i see here is that i cant wear it as ofter as i would want to and there is always the risk of large watches getting out of style.

Watches have been gradually getting bigger for the last 40 years, I would not worry about that.
