Incoming!

Having recently picked up a 1980 Oysterquartz 17000, I longed to have a Datejust again after owning and flipping at least 10 of them in the past.

I opted for a 70s vintage model 1600 with smooth bezel, blue Sigma pie-pan dial, and Jubilee bracelet. I got one for a very reasonable price and should have it Tuesday. Here is a teaser pic till I get it in person. I love the color of the dial, and the smooth bezel really plays nice with that bracelet. Also, love that Sigma dial!

Nice, I love blue dials!

Oysterquartz's are Datejusts too so now you have a couple.

Nice Peter, a blue pie pan dial, doesn't get much nicer than that. Congratulations!

Thanks Tim. I had to let that second Oysterquartz go...kept awful time. I don't need a watch with issues from day one.

Beautiful! You don't see many with that type of blue dial. There is a shiny, iridescent blue dial with gold lettering that I've seen on the two-tones, but your color seems to be relatively rare. (Here's mine, a 16013.) Congrats!

Here it is, after attaching a nice bracelet from a Forum member, and a close up of the Sigma dial:
