What does H and N mean at the back of watch?

Hi All,

there are 2 sets of numbers at the back of AP watches: NXXX and HXXX.

may i know what do they stand for? N for Movement number and H for case number?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

You're right - H is for the case number. Movement number should have 6 digits and should be written in your warranty booklet.

The H simply represents the production batch/year.

The latest case serial number is I.

The No. refers to the sequential number regarding the Royal Oak or Royal Oak Offshore reference number and the one with the letter is the serial which started with the letter A and is now on letter I. The one with the letter is sequential to all APs produced across all their collections. The movement number appears on the movements only. Older Royal Oaks didn't have the letter serial on the outside but the inside of the monocoque case.
