Rolex 116334 DateJust2 - DSLR Shots

In the mood to whip out my heavily underutilized Nikon DSLR and took these shots. Post processing in Picassa. This is the White Gold Fluted Bezel DateJust2 116334 with a grey/black dial and roman numerals. It has become my daily "beater".

and I think the best shot...

Thanks for viewing. Feel free to comment or critic. Sorry about the dust. Already tried to clean it as best as I could but those pesky fellows keep appearing.

Very creative and artistic shots with your DSLR, Ben. It doesn't hurt also when the subject is so beautiful.

I get so confused with this dial. Is it Black or Slate? they call it black but on some other threads it looks slate.

Nice.

On the ones with grain, more light or a longer exposure (probably on tripod) would allow a lower ISO and have got rid of it making them also crystal clear.

There will be a setting that allows manual ISO (400 would be good) but leaving the rest in auto.

You will already know that. But just in case :)

As you can see from the first photo, it's actually grey. But depends on surrounding light and how light falls on it, it can also appear matted black, black, various shades of dark grey or even blue! That's why I love this watch

Thanks. I am aware of the lower ISO to get rid of noise but that will be in the expense of sharpness? Anyway, thank you for your suggestion. Will definitely try it next time.

A low ISO = better quality and less noise. There is no downside other than you need to let more light in.

What to do

Nice pics.... I am looking to get the same watch just having trouble deciding if I want the smooth or fluted bezel with the same face. Any ideas?
