Went out today.

Managed to book a table at a Mitchelin star restaurant (Star Inn at Harome, North Yorkshire) tonight, so went all "posh" snap was great, waiters were that type that would look down their noses if you burped or farted, loads of wine, and a liquor coffee at the end in an attempt to look more sophisticated than Del Boy.

But here is the best bit, due to the smoking ban in public places, someone with a bit of style had put a wood burning stove outside for the smokers, it kicked out that much heat that the rain turned to steam before it hit my polyester fashion shirt that was melting to my chest, so I pulled out one of my finest Jimmy Saville Esq mini cigars and was quite enjoying the experience.

Only women can put on that fake shiver and exclaim through singed eyebrows and blistering lips that it is cold out here, and with another Brrr say "I will go start the car", and so with that not so subtle hint i took a long last draw of my cigar and savoured its sweet aroma mixed with that lovely burnt hair smell and prised my shoes that have bonded to the road and make my way into the cold night air.

So here I am back at home, nearly drunk, trying to decide if I will survive to watch the Super Bowl at 11 tonight.

Life has been good to me today.

Glad that you're having a good day Dave..

11 pm............ better take a nap

I'm upstairs in the theater room....got 60 inches in front of me and 1000 watts of 6 channel surround sound ..

Mrs Tools and some lady friends have left and are seeing a round of chick flicks..... I've checked the recliner out for comfort and have positioned my laptop beside me..

Got some popcorn packs ready to nuke, and some adult beverages on ice...

Wish all my TRF friends were here...

Sounds like a great day Dave

I'm about to take a shower and go meet some family and friends for a party to watch the game.

Wish I could have a beer with all of you
