Hi guys,

I have trolled on this forum on and off for a while and finally decided to open up an account. I have been active on other forums and always hate it when new members jump in without introducing themselves and ask questions that could easily be answered if they took five minutes to use the search feature.

Anyway, I am C-Dweller (Steve in the real world). I am about to turn 40. I live in Long Island, NY (USA). I am an attorney, married, have a two year old daughter and two dogs. I have been collecting watches for about 15 years and have collected everything barn yard finds, 60-early 70's pre-quartz crisis chronographs, contemporary rolex (late 90's to present) and other main stream brands including IWC, Cartier, Breitling, Panerai (not sure what I was thinking there), Tag Heuer. I have also given a few haute horology pieces, but flipped most of them quickly since they didn't get wrist time and were not only expensive to maintain and service, but sourcing parts meant they were out of commission for long stretches.

So, now that 40 is coming up, I think I want to add another Rolex to my watch box that I hope will be a long term keeper. I haven't really gotten knee deep in vintage Rolex, but I have been attracted to a number of early subs, mil-subs, and chronographs. I am going to take my time on this one, but I hope to pick some of the resident experts' brains as I narrow my options down. I am also looking forward to contributing my small bit (I hope a learned a thing or two over the years) and to getting to know you all. Thanks!

So, my first question for the forum is how do I go about becoming a paid member/patron? I can't seem to to find a choice in the me menu, but I sm being dense? I saw a few gems in the sales section I wanted to inquirer about. :-)
