Dat can not be set on GMT 1675

Hello tech experts,

What can be the cause of the date not jumping over when setting watch forward (backwards works) on a GMT Master 1675 from 1968 (so probably cal. 1570 (or 1560))? Is that an expensive repair issue? Spare parts needed? If yes, which? Is the problem an indicator for anything else wrong with the movement? Thanks.

Probably an inexpensive fix - take it to a watch-maker (try Rolex Ads in Zurich; both Bayer and Bucherer have good in-house teams, but Bucherer more likely to want to send it to Geneva. Bayer can look at it in Zurich for you.)

Hi kooltzar, I have experienced this on my watch with cal. 1570. Took the watch to a reputable independent watchmaker and he cured it by changing the "date changer tension spring". The issue was solved perfectly. Hope this helps.
