Here in Canada it is about $75,000 plus tax. I also had the pleasure of seeing and trying one on at the AD here.

The time has come and here is to hoping you get one soon my friend! The look and feel is second to none for me. The glacier blue and chestnut brown set this watch apart! So look forward to the incoming thread and here is mine to help with some enabling.

Tom... Congrats on your new addition!!!

Btw i think Mike's DDII weight is for his wrist size while the Platona is a full bracelet. Can't wait to see you new arrival wrist shots! Well done!!

Damn it, Tom! That's a heck of a watch. Congrats buddy, I'm thrilled for you. I guess it's my turn next.

Jen is correct. My picture was sized for my wrist. The difference with all links is only 2g (DD2 is 280g). Still the Daytona is the new heavyweight champ.

if some one had posted a couple of years ago , they were going for a pale blue dial , and a brown bezel ,,, how we would have laughed ,,,
but its a stunning combo in real life ,,, keep them coming.

Amazing watch. I too was blown away when I first handheld it.

Congrats. Can't wait for your incoming.

It'll be a great compliment to your collection.

Love the Plat daytona. didnt like the brown at first but it has def grew on me. Looks great with that ice blue dial. This watch is expensive but looks the part. I dont like the smurf because it just seems plain. Looks like a blue ss sub. polished center links on a sub is DEF not for me.

well I have had NINE previous Daytonas. I love the Daytona and race there alot and REALLY want to keep and bond with one.

I just couldnt get over it feeling somewhat small

there is no feeling like that with this watch

the wrist presence even makes the YMII pale in comparison

it is truely amazing!!

thanks for all the nice comments!!

Just to keep things in perspective that is approximately 10 ounces. That's a hefty watch. Congratulations on the new acquisition.

I have to acknowledge not being as fond of the Daytona as many, however...the platinum Daytona is drop dead gorgeous! Congratulations to all who have one in their collection!

yes to be honest to make this happen without too much pain my YG sub and RG Daytona are the outgoing

Our WG sub is my wifes daily wearer, she doesnt wear the RG Daytona that much anymore and has let me "scarifice" it for the big brother Platona

I have to be honest this may be the be all and end all for me!! It just for ME has everything I ever wanted in a watch if that is possible

thanks for all the nice comments
