Datejust with sigma dial

Hello!
I have bought a vintage rolex datejust, well I've got it as a part of a payment.
And I've noticed a strange difference with my other rolex vintage.
This last one has on its lower side of the dial the words "t swiss made t"
The new one has "o t swiss made t o".

T stands for tritium, and o stands for sigma, don't they?

Well, as you might have easily noticed, I am new in this forum and don't know very much about this world.

I would appreciate any tips.

Thanks for your help!!

Yes that stands for sigma and indicates the hands are white gold. Polish that crystal and you have a beauty of a watch!

Hands and index, or just hands?

I'm not sure if this is true or not but it's my understanding that the dial plate its self is gold.

Right now the watch is being serviced at a rolex service.
It will cost some money I am afraid, but I hope it will look better and I will be able to wash my hands with it on.

Dial plate is brass, it only refers to gold indicted and hands. Only a few models have Solid gold dials. Here two of my watches as examples

I love that black dial, it would probably look even better w/o diamonds on the bezel.

Beautiful Datejust! If it were mine, I'd make sure the RSC didn't polish the case, especially since it looks as if it's been polished in the past. Congrats!
