YG Sub - black or blue face/bezel?
I'm considering buying an all yellow gold Submariner. If I do, it might be new, or it might be a vintage (such as a 16618).
I can't decide which face/bezel color - black or blue? Both are beautiful, in different ways. Both face colors go great with yellow gold, but they are very different looks. Gold/black is probably more subdued/classy, and gold/blue seems more striking, but it's almost too much color. What do you all prefer? Which do you think is the more common color? Thanks! Ken |

Blue also. But I would prefer white gold with blue dial.

I'll give you my honest opinion: I don't know. Both are simply awesome.

Great choice on the all gold Sub. The new 116618 is my favorite with all the upgrades. The weight of the bracelet alone is worth it, plus the new clasp, and maxi dial.
I prefer the blue dial & bezel. It's a stunning combination with the gold. You can always get a DSSD, or Sub in stainless with the black face, or many others with black. Welcome to the forum. |

At least give the 116619 a try. If not either dial will work but my choice is blue!

It would depend on my collection. If I was going well with lots of variety, I'd go blue. Otherwise, it's black for sure.
