Rebooted the Red

Although the faded Pepsi insert looked pretty good, I decided that on a watch that's only about 14 years old, it also looked a bit tired. So, I was at Michael Young's place yesterday, dropping off a watch for repair, and asked if he had any in stock. He did, the price was fair, and he even installed it right there. And of course, I kept the original.

It's the same serif font as the old one, and to me the watch now looks much better.

Here's the before and after shots....

*Michael also tuned up/tightened the clasp on this watch and the Sub 5513 I had with me for no charge.

I did exactly the same thing...not with my GMT only, with my blue Tudor Snowflake as well...
just keep your original inserts if you ever want to sell...

I had a new root beer insert added to replace my faded one on the 16753 and kept the original for posterity and if I ever flip it.

Very nice, looks like the red is more improved than the blue. We all can use a bit of an enhancement now and then. Enjoy it.
